Immoeast delays Romanian mall schemes

Lack of demand from retailers and the general property malaise are behind Immoeast’s alleged decision to delay delivery of 10 malls by at least a year. Romanian daily Ziarul Financiar reports that among the projects Immoeast seems to be putting on ice are West Gate Craiova, Gold Plaza Baia Mare, Euromall Galati and Polus Center Constanta. All were due to open this year. While no confirmation from Immoeast has been given, the paper says its claim is based on interviews with Immoeast’s development partners.
