Half of Germany’s Woolworth stores to close

The insolvency administrator of the German department store Woolworth is planning to close more than half of the chain’s stores. The plan to close 190 of the 310 stores is to be carried out over the coming months. Various German retailers are said to be interested in scooping up those stores, but it’s thought there is no serious investor interest for the entire company.
