Poland to launch Green Building Council

The operations of the Polish branch of the World Green Building Council (PL GBC) will officially kick off tomorrow at the Sheraton Kraków with a symposium, fair and gala, with CIJ as media partner.

The World Green Building Council is an organization that promotes construction in line with the rules of sustainability. For a neat introduction to what PL GBC is and what it intends to do, see here.

During the symposium there will be an opportunity to listen to, and talk with, sustainable building experts like Andrew Bowerbank, executive director at the World GBC, Richard Colwell, BRE Global’s customer liaison manager and Christian Donath, executive director of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Representatives of LEED, the US building certification system, the Polish Council of Shopping Centers, the EU Green Building Program and the newly formed PL GBC will also be on hand for questions.

A detailed agenda of tomorrow’s symposium can be found here. Attendees interested in becoming members of PL GBC will, of course, be able to do so tomorrow.

CIJ readers will find a full report on the event in the November issue.
