ING Real Estate Development was the big winner at the fifth annual CIJ Awards in Budapest last night, taking home five of the top awards, including Personality of the Year for managing director Pál Baross.
The awards took place at Vörösmarty 1 overlooking the Christmas market, and despite the tough year nearly 200 of Budapest’s best and brightest were on hand to honor the year’s best projects. Among the attendees was Budapest’s chief architect, Éva Beleznay, who was on hand to present the prize for Architectural Firm of the Year, a new category this year.
This year’s awards saw another first for the CIJ Awards: a tie. After much deliberation, the jury decided to award both Millenáris and Capital Square in the heavily contested Best Office Development category.
