Ok, we’re back. And we see that the numbers coming out of Germany are still hard to decipher. Retail sales fell in February 0.9% compared to a year ago, the second monthly loss in a row now. Given the importance of consumers in Europe’s biggest economy, that’s a worrying sign.
On the other hand, the number of jobless Germans fell by 75,000 in March, making for an 8% unemployment rate (an improvement of 0.1%).
